Samira serves as Organizational Development and Training Manager at Career Transitions Inc., a leading Puerto Rican company in organizational development, executive coaching, leadership and talent development, strategic career planning, and outplacement, serving both multinational and local clients.

She currently holds a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. In addition, she has certifications related to the field of Human Resources such as: Human Resources Assistant and Full Certification in Compensation and Benefits, both from the Institute of Higher Education.

Samira has had the opportunity to work in different administrative functions, which have trained her not only to acquire new tasks and responsibilities, but also to work in multiple areas including the human resources field, performing tasks such as interviews, recruitment, training, job description and analysis.

She served as a Human Resources Assistant for a recruiting firm focused on the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing and medical devices, managing the entire process of recruiting industry professionals (engineers, biologists, chemists, microbiologists). Samira has extensive knowledge in the interview process, pre-screening of candidates, validation of information, management and updating of “Job Seeker List,” “Job Posting List” platforms and hiring process.

As a psychologist, she has facilitated training and workshops aimed at the continuous education of human capital in the company, through topics such as: Effective Supervision Techniques, Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, Techniques and Interview Processes, Telephone Tag, Service Tag at Client; Work stress; Group vs. Team; Identifying Our Customers, Retirement and Retirement: It is not the same, among others.

During her professional practice in the Office of Court Administration (OAT), Personnel Division, she was in charge of developing manuals and question guides to carry out a staff selection process entitled “Manual of Questions for the Process of Interview”, which covers and includes all the positions that are recruited in that organization. For the same organization, she developed a manual on Effective Communication in the Company, and a journal article entitled “Supervision Processes”.

She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) organization.
