People of CSG: Mette Ljungquist Marstrander, Karrierehuset

I have always known that I wanted to work with people, and that became the basis for undertaking studies within organizational psychology.

After some years working with networking at the University of Oslo, then as a recruiter/headhunter, I came across Karrierehuset and immediately contacted them regarding a possible position as a career counselor. Now, 7 years later, I still find great meaning and motivation being able to help individuals and companies in their career transition or restructuring phases.

I find immense pleasure in being able to meet so many interesting people every day and being able to guide them in a right direction, by either just listening, opening their eyes for new possibilities, or confirming their value as a great contributor in our society, no matter what level of position they have had.

I see the value for the individuals who find themselves in a career changing situation of having someone they trust and follow them through the job searching process. Working with outplacement, career transition and talent development, I strive to always be updated on the continuous changes in the employment market, new types of studies and work processes, and how the technological and digital changes affect everybody in some way or another.
