Meet Éva, General Manager of CSG partner Simon&Mayer in Hungary.

Having spent nearly 15 years in the field of recruitment, I encountered and became familiar with the methodology of outplacement.

Being a Recruitment Consultant, I had the opportunity to participate in job interviews, both as an interviewer and an observer, noticing all the flaws and blunders candidates are prone to commit in the course of their job seeking. I saw a way to make the job search process more effective. Outplacement has given such a comprehensive framework and approach that truly fosters and promotes successful placements.

In the course of the initial outplacement projects at Simon&Mayer, I saw tremendous improvement from our candidates, exceeding far beyond finding the next suitable position or job. These techniques are to be applied in the long run, in any industry or position. You could say the lessons learned during outplacement services could be applied to everyday life as well.

It is always enlightening to see how challenging it is for most candidates to answer even the most basic questions, especially those about themselves and their accomplishments. However, once they learn the tools to discuss themselves and their careers, the job search process gets a lot less daunting.

As a final thought illustrating the significance of outplacement, please let me approach this matter by citing James Brown: „ Opportunity dances with those who are already on the dance floor.” Our mission is to give a helping hand to the candidates participating in the program by finding their own dance floors. And from that point on, we will just let the dance begin!
